Dingbats

Dr. Wifey is teaching a course that is covering the use of fonts and was looking to see if it would be a good movie to show in class. I found it to be a great overview of the powers of font, and it reminded me of the excitement I felt when I took a class in typography almost a decade ago at Mass Art. Speaking of design: Chip Kidd is having a book signing at Philly’s Central library on February 14th at 7 pm. His new work of fiction is called “The Learners.” Full disclosure – he is the uncle of my brother-in-law’s fiancee, Claire. I really enjoyed his first novel – “the Cheese Monkeys,” and I saw a number of his book covers displayed at the Boston ICA’s show “Design Life Now.”

Dr. Wifey is soon to be swooping into town and off to West Lafayette for Turkey.

Yes – No – Maybe – Can You Repeat the Question

Often when going thru our photos, it is hard for Dr. Professor Wifey and I to remember who took what. We are usually passing back and forth the camera as we walk, and often taking different perspective photos on the same object. Sometimes we ask the other with the camera to take a particular shot or suggest one. We are a such the creative team! Who knew I’d be lucky enough to find someone with a great camera eye and can remember to mail out the bills on time? (Hint: anybody who really knew me.) Only the best for Craigola
