Renaissance Man

Judy Southerland is an artist who loves to incorporate aspects of Caravaggio’s works into her pieces. On the last day of a screen-printing class, during senior year, three of us were asked to help with a project. Judy’s newest piece utilized a segment of the painting “Taking of Christ” and would have a re-enactment of another segment in the foreground. So she asked Mike Anderson, Craig Walker, and myself to pose for some photos based on the imagery.

Well this past weekend at the Southern Graphics conference in Richmond, I finally got to see the finished piece. It turned out to be wonderful, and I was very pleased with how I turned out in the bottom right. Judy is selling these prints for a very fair price and she can be contacted at judy@judysoutherland.com
